... the rupee came into its own (again) and funnily enough two tourists today had a private look at the displays and then went to see the formal dining area where Clive entertained and also where he celebrated his marriage. Also on the site is St Mary's Church, the largest Anglican Church in India. 'Guide me O thou Great Redeemer' was playing on the organ as we entered.....sing-along time!! We went through the area where the 2004 Tsunami killed 8,000 people. The area is incredibly flat, no hills at all. We stood by the sides of the pedestal, not having disturbed or blocked anyone else and prayed peacefully after that so much so, we were able to witness the full Abishegam just before the Thiraikaappu. Sometimes, in this kind of situation, you would require to throw such words at them or else these ...

... things that made me smile. Hope you like them especially the health and safety one. I keep meaning to take pictures of signage where the use of the English language is different from what you see back home. You know what message is being conveyed but the delivery is, well, different. For instance, there is a sign at work that says "Smoking is injurious to your health". However whose to say that we do it right and they wrong. I got asked ...
