... we got up early to get our ski on! (I am never saying that again btw) We made a nice breakfast and made our way to the ski rental place. I have been skiing before, and I know how expensive renting ski gear can be, but I was pleasantly surprised by how reasonable and cheap it was to rent things! We waited for the bus to take us up to the resort and rode it up the glacier for about an hour before arriving at the lodge! As we were riding up, ...

... life. While sitting here on the balcony having a coffee I noticed some climbers on the cliff opposite and then noticed a magical walk along the edge of the mountain.

Spotting these climbers was just plain luck and it makes one realise just how massive that mountain really is but then I noticed something else that made the whole cliff seem even more massive and that something else was a rather large house built right on the cliff thousands of feet up. How the hell did ...

The waters of this dam today were extremely calm and the reflection shots of the cliffs opposite were simply stunning.

At the end of this large lake the road swings right and heads through yet another border post and on over the massive dam wall. Right in the middle of the wall are situated two toll booths. I paid my 10 Euro and proceeded to cross the wall. After the wall the road runs along the edge of the ...

... IPad and I was well beaten by Jenny as is mostly the case. No Wifi in the room but it is advertised so will ask about it. Was not too interested in the TV show which had naked men and women dancing with a block of concrete. Went down to the Restaurant for dinner, it was a four course meal, the other couples walked out when finished, I was confused. I waited for the waitress and asked how does dinner work, do you add it to the ...

This A38 is a road of tunnels. In the short 22 miles or so from Tirano to Bormio at least 10 miles of it are in tunnels. This is great on a cold wet day but on a lovely sunny day as today it’s simply gets too hot inside here and today the temp reached 19 Celsius inside here. There are about 5 tunnels in ...
