    ... to see more and more snow. Pretty soon everything was all covered in snow and it was absolutely stunning! I don't know if I was more excited to ski or to see all the mountains covered in snow! The ski resort that we were at was massive! I have only been to Sundown Mountain in Iowa, so this was kind of intimidating from the start, but we figured out which hill was going to be the easiest!     ... middle of the road means nothing to some idiots. They would race out onto the wrong side of the road then suddenly have to push in about two cars ahead to avoid a head on collision.Twenty miles further and the clowns are still plodding along in the same queue of traffic but only about ten or so cars ahead.

    Being on a motorcycle I could have got passed these cars on a number of occasions but I just cannot see the point of risking my life just to get a few cars ...

    ... strikes again.

    In Germany, Austria and Germanic parts of Italy the Ruhetag, literally 'calm day', is quite common in hotels and similar establishments. It is a day off for the staff and means the place is deserted. Guests can stay but there will be no restaurant or services on Ruhetag.



    The doors are open but there is no-one around to check us in. So we leave and ride to the nearby village ...
