... near our centuries old farmhouse this afternoon. We're staying at a B&B on the island of Nagu and nobody else is here. There are about 6 rooms and this house would hold 15 people or more. But school started August 10, there aren't many foreign tourists, and the locals are done for the season. That's why shoulder season travel is so great: easy to get a room and prices are right. (Side note: We'd been seeing everything with the word "linna" in it in street names all over Finland. Turns out, Linna means "castle" in Finnish. Which would make sense. And Linnea, it also explains why I keep thinking everything is named after you.)

Näsby is in a lovely spot situated in a deep bay and very sheltered. Presumably, because of this it is very popular and we only just managed to find a space, sharing a buoy with our very charming Finnish neighbour. There is a restaurant, a small shop and the usual facilities on site and just up the hill is a small supermarket. As I said, ...

It take almost an hour and there seems to be no order people pushing in, our line we have three buses go to other queues so we are waiting ages, me and two other girls decide to play aircraft controllers guiding the buses in and it works, I am home at around 4.30am and fall asleep pretty quickly.
