But school started August 10, there aren't many foreign tourists, and the locals are done for the season. That's why shoulder season travel is so great: easy to get a room and prices are right. (Side note: We'd been seeing everything with the word "linna" in it in street names all over Finland. Turns out, Linna means "castle" in Finnish. Which would make sense. And Linnea, it also explains why I keep thinking everything is named after you.)

It take almost an hour and there seems to be no order people pushing in, our line we have three buses go to other queues so we are waiting ages, me and two other girls decide to play aircraft controllers guiding the buses in and it works, I am home at around 4.30am and fall asleep pretty quickly.

An amazing day (I'll upload more photos soon, but here is a taste)

... to the supermarket via the ferry whilst I readied the boat, filling the water tank and so on. We were ready by 10:45 and set off, a bit sad as we were enjoying Finland and we liked Turku but hey ho, that's the way things go at times.

The wind was favourable for sailing direction-wise and we were in no hurry, having only 25 miles or so to do, so the fact that our speeds weren’t life threatening was neither here nor there. We ...
