... locals are done for the season. That's why shoulder season travel is so great: easy to get a room and prices are right. And it's nice and quiet.

This is an old farm homestead turned into a B&B. There are several here. But it's also a working farm. A path behind the house leads to the beach and lakehouse. Another path leads off to a tour of the land, including a blacksmith shop. The path goes past the sauna and you walk over mossy rocks covered ...

... park on the way back that had a wading pool to swim and dip our toes in and just laze the rest of the afternoon away. In the hot weather, it was actually really nice.

Our bus back to Helsinki was due to leave at 5, so we grabbed our bags and got a taxi back to the bus stop. Turku is beautiful and I'm glad I made it there. I'm quite sad that this trip is very nearly over. But it's been a lot of fun.
