      ... good about it. Although, when I asked for the check, the server assistant decided to joke with me and ask in English what I had said. A coy smile crept across his face, and he laughed himself away to retrieve the bill. What a joker... We lost ourselves in the dark and quiet alleyways of Venice, actually making a full circle at one point, but ultimately made it home to settle in for a long, peaceful night's rest.       Our flight arrived around 9:45 and after we went through customs and picked up our luggage, we bought tickets to take the Alilaguna boat from the airport to near our B & B. we got on the boat T 11:15 and got to see quite a bit as it stopped on Murano, Lido and around Venice.       ... cathedral towering over us. We walked up steps, down steps, over bridges and through alleys only wide enough for one person at a time. Eventually we came across Macdonalds where we bought 2 coffees and large fries for 5.50 euros, much cheaper than yesterday's coffees.
