... the lunch hour began. The builders came in in hordes. Seated, supplied with bread and wine followed by pasta and then time to get back to work. We moved on and later found a great pizza place. Pizzas are good here (unlike Rome). We then followed Fabio's advice and caught the ferry into Como. ... us, and less driving road-trips. I slept for the first 45 minutes of the drive there and woke up just as Conor was pulling into a gas station. We filled the tank of our little Chevy Matiz, and then also wanted coffee. We walked into the cafe, and saw only tiny little espresso cups...no to-go cups. Normally, I would ask if they had to-go cups as an option. But, when neither of you speak any italian, you do your best to order what from the menu you think you want and then go with the ...

... visit to the apartment to freshen up and on we go from Apperitivo at the Sempione area. We decided to Jump on the tram - it is now about 4.30 pm - well, we got ourselves lost in the maze of trams and ended doing a full circle of Milan City. Goggle maps to the rescue we managed to find our way to our next stop..."aperitivo" (it is now 6.30pm!). Apperitivo is a great custom where all city bars offer "happy hour". In place of free drinks. (Or two for ...
