    The first in SriLanka was very busy. Elouise and I went for an explore through the local shops, I scored a foot massage and Elle had her hair platted. We had a quick dip in the pool. 3 weddings in the hotel, one had 950 guests including the president! The security was unbelievable - even snipers on the roof.     Hot (42 plus) and grimy.... Street sweepers everywhere, along with police - seem to be the main "employed" persons we saw. Hot. People lovely, but didn't like the state of the animals we saw - elephant covered in chains and as thin as, a small monkey on a leather string and a number of snakes.     ... a big strip of grass with a promenade by the sea. It obviously faces west towards India and is famous for its sunsets, canoodling couples and a fun fair type atmosphere in the early evenings.     ... The guy was originally from Cambodia and she was from Bosnia, but for the last 15-35 years they had been living in Australia. They told us when they ordered American guy was ordering and said this food stall was the original and the others were knock offs, we did pick correctly! He also said what I ordered was his favorite dish there (his wife is Sri Lanka so they had eaten there often).
