She said that it was in her heart to show the world how even when nature can cause destruction, mankind come together to mend it. She spoke of how she finds peace in Buddhism and meditation. I've moved to a different hostel in the heart of Colombo now with breakfast, movies and AC (I even had to put a cardigan on earlier). Opposite there is a lovely shop/gallery/bookshop/garden cafe called Barefoot where I'm sure I'll be spending some time sitting in the garden reading... and shopping!
