    ... agent at the train station was super-nice about the whole process, suggested return tickets and OPEN ones at that, and even spoke to us in English! It felt somewhat more comforting when walk away with a concrete travel intinerary in hand. Finally, we had a solution, and not just another problem to solve.

    Next, supper - why should we worry about a hotel that we are possibly locked out of on an empty stomach? ...

    ... market 4 fish etc. Find marvels as we walk. Churches, fountains, statues n monuments.
    Lunch in local - go here 4 pizza, here 4 other dishes n here 4 drinks - only the italians can make it so complicated!
    The church/duomo/palace is amazing u r astounded by Catholicism.
    The mosaics, n opulence r amazing.
    Full day of churches n markets n palaces.

    The inaugural World Cup match between Brazil and Croatia was at 10 pm. My plan was to watch the game at O’seven and had an hour before kickoff.
