Today was our day at sea...nothing really planned, just relax on the ship. Wes got his face painted twice today. First, he had an amazing shark painted across his face which we has lots of fun with with at dinner. Then he arrived at the evening show as a pirate, with an eye patch and skull painted on his face. The kids program for Wes has been great fun for him and certainly keep him entertained. Vivian stayed busy doing whatever teens ...

We go out in the evening to the Captains House, where Bob and Margaret are well known patrons. The town is buzzing late into the evening as we enjoy our meals. Margaret, Charly and I neck a couple of bottles of decent red wine. Bob and Karl-Heinz are on Efes lager.

And so a stress laden day ends with laughter and jokes in a most relaxing ...

... African accents and even seen an Afrikaans sign. The majority of the tourists come for the beaches and to see the ruins at Ephesus. Today we did the beaches and tomorrow we will go to Ephesus.

The Ladies Beach in Kusadasi is the most popular beach in the area. The Cape and Eastern Cape beaches are way better, but the people-watching at Ladies ...

Awake at about 7am, showered and dressed by 8.30am and then to the dining room where we had breakfast with Janis and John. We chatted away for ages and then parted ways as we went back to our room to get our things for the day then back down to the International Café for a coffee and to wait for the others … not enough time to do anything else ...

Rain, rain go away we want to tour Ephesus. When we looked out the veranda, we saw two very large ships, The Noordam and a Celebrity ship. There was also a small Seabourn ship. This meant the tours were going to be just awful.
