This morning we started off with a bike tour around krakow. It is a large town largely untouched by WW2 despite being occupied by Germany in 1939. We saw the the big church where to this day a trumpeter plays a tune as they did since the 1700s when a trumpeter was signalling an attack but he died from an arrow before he could finish. So now a trumpeter always stands there and doesn't finish the tune. How sad! Then we rode to Jewish quarter. Only 600 Jews now in Krakow. 300 000 died ...
