... sleeper section and we didn't want to risk 16 hours on a train uncomfortable or with no air con! Got a flighty I Surat Thani for £20 each - cheap! Accommodation in Surat Thani for 3 nights £36! Have to stay there for 3 nights as the ferry to Koh Phangan isn't til the 14th (again left it late and was the nearest available plus this is when we are booked into the nicer hotel for 2 weeks) Then Podcasts and sleep ...

... commentary and conservation. In Phuket our hotel accommodation was a two storey apartment with several TVs, 4 beds, 2 bathrooms and a jacuzzi on the balcony. We didn't use all the space nor the jacuzzi in a place where water is short and a jacuzzi takes an hour to fill! Phuket is a lively, a little smelly and a little seedy but for a night it was interesting and we enjoyed the Harley Davidson cafe bar complete with bikes, memorabilia and rock music. ... they all just seem to think we're cute for being around here..lollllllllll.
Starving, we walk along the main street to find...anything! We end up at a Thai version of Costco "Makro". It's as big and as busy as our North American stores, but with much tinier people. ;)
They really get a kick out of us...so confused, bewildered and so very tall!! There are several tables of exotic fish..and a huge bin with exposed, raw ...

... a lot but it was still really hot so everyone sat out. We had a great massage on the beach. Steve's face dropped when the man walked over to do his. It was even funnier when the girl who did mine let" me know he was in fact a ladyboy and loved to massage handsome men. Steve wasn't fully relaxed like I was :). We got the bus to the full moon party at 9.30pm. We thought it was best to go a bit later as Steve wanted to watch ...

Re-u-nited and it feels so gooood...

After 3 nights apart we were headed to the Gulf of Thailand to experience the island trifecta of Ko Pha-Ngan, Ko Tao and Ko Samui.
