... We caused a stir at the cashiers with our presence ;))) and this lovely woman let us in front of her (everyone else in the line up had huge oversized baskets overflowing with merchandise)....nice!
We had a lot of fun..although feeling a bit overwhelmed by our environment. We did good!

sidenote: Before we left our 'Jungle House', we had a morning encounter with a macaque monkey....right in our hut. Well, he never got ...

... a lot but it was still really hot so everyone sat out. We had a great massage on the beach. Steve's face dropped when the man walked over to do his. It was even funnier when the girl who did mine let" me know he was in fact a ladyboy and loved to massage handsome men. Steve wasn't fully relaxed like I was :). We got the bus to the full moon party at 9.30pm. We thought it was best to go a bit later as Steve wanted to watch ...

... come down to the shore to drink. Once again it was more of a boat ride listening to jungle stories as we passed around a bottle of Sangsom, the local rum. We did see a civet (small wild cat) in a tree. That night I didn't drink any liquids as I feared of falling through the hole in our bungalow on the way to the washroom in the middle of the night. And we both wore earplugs as the sound of the jungle was as loud as a car alarm. The next morning we were woken up ...

... Thai reputation for weird and wacky also made an appearance with salted cockroach (blegh) for sale. Without a mass of options for dinner I settled for the thai version of fresh spring roll, it was pretty much on par with Malaysia's version with sauce instead served on the side, more salad and crunchy bits inside. Phuket Town in itself seems to be more of a location people use as a stopover to some of those pristine beaches Thailand yields as well as picturesque islands ...
