After spending a few days at each destination we have decided we are sick of packing and traveling (time wasting). So we decided to set up camp for seven nights. And it's Chinas birthday on the 7th so we will celebrate that here. The flight from Phuket to Koh Samui cost us £50 each which isn't so bad as it gets us there in an hour, rather than the bus and ferry. We have wasted too much time on bus journeys and still haven't got over the 12 hour one to Phuket. The airport ...

... really friendly people from 'A' (that was her name) the lady restaurant owner who cooked some great home cooked meals and got us fruit from the local market to 'Tony' from Huddersfield who ran an English bar which had every Premier League game on and cooked a mean pork and gravy baguette! Not forgetting the little cocktail lady 'Me' (that was her name as well) who had her own stall on the side of the road and could do you any cocktail you wanted at great prices. ...

... ferry to Bestival. The boat was packed and the ride was bumpy. We were handed flyers from the crew on 'safe drinking'. I'm sure this was necessary for some people to read! ... Rachel's hostel to be painted in neon body paint. By midnight we were ready to hit the beach.

Buckets are the way forward. 150 Baht (3) upwards for a plastic bucket that comes with a spirit, mixer and red bull, that you drink through a straw straight from the bucket!
