Katakolon - Olympia

Om 13u50 komen we aan in Katakolon. We gaan eerst naar het schip om onze computer op te halen en gaan dan op een terrasje in de haven zitten waar we gratis wifi hebben. We skypen met thuis, halen onze mails op en zetten wat foto’s online. Op alle terrasjes zie je mensen met smartphones, iPads en laptops. Je hoort mensen in alle talen tegen hun computer praten. 11th Day of the Cruise

... the lobby today. Our bus took us to the cruise boat and we departed at 8:30, arriving at our first stop Hydra at 11:15. Hydra turned out to be the favourite stop for most of us for different reasons: Bite size, manageable, quite pretty, Donkeys, working fishing harbour, best views etc. We bought and shared a very nice Spanakopita from one of the local bakeries before exploring. Ancient Olympics

The whole site was buried in about the 6th century AD and was only discovered in the early 1800's with excavations happening in the late 1800’s.
