... to ourselves which we lay across and slept very well. After 6 hours the ferry filled up but we slept very well up until we arrived in Bari. On arrival in Bari we took a bus to the train station and then a train to Casserta. In Casserta we took another train to Naples.

We arrived in Naples to find that the buses and trains had stopped running to Sorrento for the night and we had no option but to take a taxi there for 100 euros. Our taxi driver was very nice and ...

Woke this morning to the most spectacular waning moon but the photos just don't do it justice.Only a short drive to our first stop which was Methoni Castle/Fortress. Bulit by theVenetians in the 12th century and then taken over by the Ottomans in the 15th century. Whilst a lot of it is in ruin, the walls/moat/gate etc are still intact. ... transit buses, a quick whip round getting the old driver a fistful of Euro for his trouble!!!! The crew on the ferry were closing the doors as we raced on and by the time we had reached our deck we were sailing!!! The ferry was actually quite new and to our surprise the cabins we were allocated were great - nearly as good as the ones on our cruise! With sweat dripping off us we found the nearest bar and toasted our good timing and thanking the ferry mob ...
