The national road from Corinth to Patras is heavily under construction and not the most pleasant road to ride. However the Gulf of Corinth is always on my right side and the sea looks a beautiful blue with some parts a pretty green, close to shore.

... Greece proved to be a real surprise, not what we were expecting. After stocking up at Lidl, we headed for the Vikos Canyon – a giant gorge that cuts through central northern Greece. Woke up to the sounds of Greece - Church bells ringing, scooter honks, a child, birds. Oh what a lovely feeling. I got up, got dressed and made coffee just the way I like it with my bodum, my coffee, orange oil and cinnamon. I know I should have Greek coffee to be authentic but it felt nice to have something reassuringly familiar. I had bought cream last night at the supermarket so I even had that to add.

Today we arrived in a port town called Katalon, about 45 minutes from Ancient Olympia. We hopped off the boat and bought some bus tickets from a local tour company.
