... balcony is still nicer. After you pass Imerovigli you walk through a tiny village called Firostefani which has an awesome view of Fira nestled into the side of the cliff. I've noticed that only churches have the iconic blue, domed roofs that you see in Santorini pictures. There are many churches here, so nearly every photo captures a blue dome. As we got closer to Fira it dawned on me how many stairs we'd walked DOWN, obviously meaning we'd be walking ...

... to Oia at the far end of the island. We had a very pleasant afternoon there. Oia seems to be a little more upmarket and has more blue domed buildings as well as the famous windmills. After taking heaps of photos and buying souvenirs, we enjoyed a couple of milk shakes before catching the bus back home. We had an early dinner and made it home just in time for the ...

... a bar-b-que out on the top deck. It was a beautiful night, cool breeze blowing, boat slightly rocking and the sun going down over the water. The lights came out on the ridge and the path to the top lit up, truly magical.

At the end of dinner a cake was brought out with"Happy Birthday" and we all sang happy birthday to Marg, she turned completely red.

The night was clear and crisp, and the lights of Santorini were a sight to ...
