Goodmorning at home. We had a lovely bus ride thru the Dutch countryside
to the sea. Our ship (Captain says it is not a "boat") is lovely. We boarded at
3pm. Don't sail till 1am in the morning to Utrecht. Met a really gorgeous couple
from the Gold Coast and sat with them at dinner tonight. Had the funniest thing
happen , they told us we could walk to this big shopping centre ...

Today we attended Tante Marie's birthday party at the Masterbar located on the waterfront at Enkhuizen. The day started with coffee and cakes, then many beers and wines, soup for lunch and plates of finger food. I got to cross another thing off my 'to do' list as we enjoyed some delicious 'bittenbollen' (little croquette balls). If you are ever in Enkhuizen and looking for a great place to eat or have a drink, this is ...

Amy and I have just had a 1/2 hour stroll around Enkhuizen, it's 10pm and it's still daylight. It's a bit disconcerting not having a night time. Walking around Enkhuizen which is quiet and relaxed is a nice change to the crowds in Amsterdam. This afternoon we visited Tante Marie. She is one amazing woman. At 100 years old she still has a very sharp mind and wit, moves around better than people 30 years her junior and is ...

We spent Monday settling in a bit before going to an old boat, it no longer runs but was interesting to see until I smashed my head on a piece of wood which was not nice. We then looked around some shops before going home.

Tuesday was a great day, we went to a theme park called the efterling it's a fairy tale type theme and was really fun. There were lots of rides and shows but it was really busy so the line ups where very long. My feet where ...

Our last day trip began with a nice hot coffee (much needed) and a trip ride to the small town of Horne. It is on the inland sea and about 70 000 people. The train flew by with lovely views of the countryside. Holland has a lot of animals, usually in small patches of farm land. Tonnes of water on the land and the occasional windmill - usually the high tech ones.

The sun was shining as we ...
