We have found the most fantastic place for tapas - not sure what some of the ingredients really are sometimes , but maybe we shouldn't ask before we try . Wednesday night was the night we saw the Flaminco performance - WOW ,, incredible combination of music and dance . I had a slightly weird experience there . Two matadors, put the big spikes in, then it was stabbed again by the horse rider. By this time I could hear the bull. The crowd were cheering, but I couldnt. ... the #30 bus to the Alhambra, which does basically go Alhambra->Cathedral and back, but it doesn't start running until 7:30. There's another bus, the 34 I think, which goes to other places but also stops at the Alhambra and it left at about 7:10 so I took that one instead.

... for the Madrid Olympics bid 2020 which notoriously failed and gosh are they still hurting from it! Previously, Spain has come runner up to hosting the Olympics on a lot of occasions and the people here were over it. They didn't want to be hurt anymore but the Major of Madrid ignored the people's wishes, believing that the tourism it would bring would lighten the crisis. She went ahead and spelt millions of euros that they don't have and pledged another €3.2 billion. ...
