I mentioned to Jorge our tour director and he said it was only a small protest, only 6 police injured and 10people arrested, just one of many they have Spain!! To get back to the metro near my motel a lovely young spanish man helped me work out with lines I needed to take as I had to change and it was all easy. Can't say too much more for Santander, other than its airport is about the same size as Moorabbin's and that it flies to Dublin, which was our next (and final! :-( ) stop on the adventure.
