      ... the Parque del Bueno Retiro, a huge park behind the Prado - enormous really, and SO beautifully laid out with huge trees now turning into autumn colours, lakes, fountains, monuments and statues. Again, the whole of Madrid seemed to be out and about enjoying the wonderful warm afternoon in the park. Many children and families, and many buskers, clowns and entertainers.       ... into the train I broke into hysterical laughter. It took us a good ten minutes to get to our carriage (in our panic we'd gotten on the opposite end of the train to our seats) but eventually we arrived, drenched in sweat, and collapsed.
