The islands are a different and interesting envirionment,prime holiday spot for Germans,with very few English speaking visitors . We enjoyed riding bikes along the canals in this interesting small town but are starting to yearn for Phillip Island again and looking forward to moving on to ...

... t. As it was the beginning of a long week-end in Holland-and the cabins were fully booked-we had to bite the bullet & tackle the headwind across the bridge. Hannah did well to battle the elements & we finally made the crossing in 3 hours. We stopped for a snack and got out our stove to make ourselves some hot cuppas as a reward. Today was our big adventure to the Nord See, a drive of about 70km. We were told it would be windy and cold. Our first stop was Shillig where it was windy and cold - I should have packed my puffer jacket! ... It is raining and not worth trying to get to much further today so we eventually find a nice little village on a river called Varel. We park right over the road from the river and our view is of an old yacht.
