We take the opportunity to clear a few emails with the free WiFi that is available before heading off to see a few more of the sites. We even elect to come back here for lunch and I enjoy the broiled pork ribs and Lithuanian sauerkraut while Cheryl settles for the chicken Caesar salad. With no idea what to expect in Klaipeda, we certainly are glad to have had the opportunity to learn and see more about this town. We're casting off at 1800 and are expected to arrive in Visby at 0700 tomorrow ...

... After four hours or so enjoying the blissful birdsong in the Valley of Silence and watching the swallows perform their acrobatics over the lagoon, I took the bus back to the ferry port. For the entirety of both bus trips, I didn't take my eyes off the woodland and open spaces, sweeping both sides of the bus, until my eyes hurt. And what did I see? Trees. Thousands of them. And no whites of any eyes: elk, boar or any other kind. Not a hair. Do elk have ...
