... pastures and all surrounded by the spectacular mountains. The trail was a bit of a challenge as it was quite steep (at least it was going down) and had a lot of loose rocks. You had to concentrate on where you put your feet as it was quite easy to slip or trip.
It took us over 2 hours to get down, but by then the gondola had shut for the evening. So, now how to get back up to Murren...we were NOT going to hike back up and there are no roads ...
... the next three days, Murren. Rushed to the room to take pictures before it got dark. We have a nice little room that has a killer view but low ceilings...not a big concern for us and probably why we were given this room!

Whilst JJ, Bruce and I put our skis on and sorted ourselves out Jon and Sam went for a short blue run to a nearby chair then we all headed off down another blue and an easy introduction into the day. The second run of the day was much more vigorous as we dropped off the blue run and into an area of soft snow off piste.
