The ride up was spectacular with mountains in every direction, but the gondola was packed and unless you were the first or the last to board your view was of someone's back. Today the Oakhall lessons started from the other side of the valley, heading up into a completely different set of resorts. This meant an earlier start to the day as we had to catch a bus up the valley before we ascended the mountains. The day did not dawn well with low cloud blocking our view of the Mannlichen ridge above Wengen so we knew we were heading into cloud.
