... were very cute and we spent a few relaxed hours just watching them.
Besides the giant pandas the center also had red pandas which are not really pandas but look like a mix of a raccoon and a fox. Interestingly their “cages” were semi-open and so that they could more or less freely roam the whole park – you could always figure were they were if you followed the screaming tourists. Good fun too.
Just arrived at Chengdu after what I would call the worse train journey ever. We left Xi'an heading to Chengdu on a shity train that lasted 16 hours. Not only was it 16hours,I was on an hard seated aisle seat all the way. On route I seen a few passengers taking refuge under the seats to lye down, but after a quick pit stop off at the toilets noticing a pretty big bug I decided agents it.

... on plates and then you put them in a pot in the middle of the table which is filled with hot oil and spices... kind of like fundue, it is just not on a stick.
Our Chinese hosts were very keen for us to try all of the Chinese delicassies they had ordered and then watched how we ate it and if we liked it. I felt quite embarrassed because I had to turn down a lot of the things they strongly tried to convince me to try. It didn't look much better than they described ...

The next morning we saw the world's biggest Buddha (the reason we came to Leshan), then took a bus to Mt Emei Shan,
then another small bus that was supposed to take us up the mountain.
There we arrived at the middle of the mountain, in the clouds, all alone, it was really scary, because you could'nt even see 2 meters in front of you, we couldn't ...
... playful. I could have stood all day and watched them and it wouldn’t have been long enough. Our guide kept coming to look for me as our group had moved on to the next thing and I was still mesmerised by the last! I loved every second of it, they are the most amazing and beautiful creatures I have seen.
It is so sad to think they may become extinct. There are only about 1,600 Giant Pandas left in the wild and about ...
