    Nothing could prepare me for what I would experience so far in China. Most people would think that the teaching aspect would be the most difficult to adapt to, but I have thoroughly enjoyed my time teaching in China so far. The students are great and love engaging with a foreigner for some it’s a bit of a frightening experience, seeing a foreigner for the first time.     ... Foreign Language school where we met with teacher from England, India and other speaking countries. That evening we went to see the kites wired with lights and flying in convoys (some of them) the others very large and shining with colorful lights.     ... first stop was a huge art Exhibition at the massive Shandong-Taiwan Convention and Exhibition Center. We saw the aforementioned exhibit put on by the school that we visited first the day before. The center was of epic proportion and filled with hundreds of booths where artists sold work ranging from paper cuttings and embroidery to kites and massive wood furniture. We had our pictures taken many times with the kids in their booth.

    ... Art Show. We were expected to attend the show! After the Primary School, we visited two Private Foreign Language schools. One had 3,000 students from age 6 to 16. Many students boarded at the school. We ate lunch in a room with a sign that said "foreign visitors dining room." We were joined by the English language teachers mentioned above as well as teachers from India and Nepal, two students and a group of administrators and 2 C party secretaries.
