... After my long day I took a hot bath in a bath that fit fifty other men! Everything about Hangzhou is grand and huge, I wish to stay here for as long as possible. My top five of my entire trip would have to be:
1. My arrival in Hangzhou
2.Visiting the Industrial Quarter in Merv
3. Meeting the scholar in Baghdad
4. Seeing the Mogao Caves in Dunhuang
5. Visiting the Great Mosques of the Ummayds in ...
... to shame) (4 Seasons). Unfortunately, we will not be staying here for long, which is why I can't get to see even more sights here. On the bright side, I tried the You Dong Er, a scrumptious crispy turnip snack(Go To Hz). You would think that turnips back then would have tasted terrible, but it smelled like KFC! Anyway, I have to get back to the ship. We have upgraded the small ship and are sailing on a junk all the way to India!
Another morning to awake to the beautiful songs of mountain birds and sunny skies! We are so blessed with the weather, particularly considering that it rained for 8 days in a row before we arrived here! Our hostess treated us to a fabulous breakfast this morning, perched on the rooftop of the hotel. Overlooking the beautiful fields that surround us, and the wonderful mountain backdrop. This place is a boom town. I dont know why but every top end brand is here. Think of any top brand and you will be able to find it here. From cars to clothing and everything inbetween.
Everywhere they have information booths. You cant walk for more than 15 min without seeing one. When I walk up to one the person inside usually stands up. I ask a question and they ALWAYS wave their hands, say NO ...
