Memmingen, Bavaria, Germany cariverga... offers a variety of dishes prepared with local Allgäu cheese. Beware though, the menu is not in German but rather in the Allgäu language making it even difficult to understand for the normal German. An English menu is not available. However one of the waitresses speaks pretty good English. The restaurant is less pricy, and set out like a bier restaurant with long tables and benches. All the dishes are pretty good. A ...
Füssen, Bavaria, Germany reisender... drowning in the lake near Munich is still a bit of a myth in Germany. It was a 45 minute walk uphill, but for 6 Euros we could take a horse drawn carriage-we jumped at the chance. It was a memorable ride and only the second time we had taken one-the first being right after we were married! It wasn't a private ride but the tourists who shared the ride with us also shared in our giggles at the constant ******* of the horses :)

... of the castle looked very similar to Disney's Fairy Tale Castle. In the interior only about 18 of the 60 rooms had been completed. At the early age of 40 years, King Ludwig II was murdered after having enjoyed a mere 80 days at that castle.
The whole castle's interiors depicted the compositions of Richard Wagner. King Ludwig was a big fan of Wagner, but arrogant Wagner never ...
High up in the Allgäu Alps, a few miles from the village of Pfronten, we visited a very isolated for over 100 years family-run luxury hotel for dinner. A beautiful wooden structure with a grand view of the Alpe foothills, and cow bells of cows grazing in the pristine alpine highlands could be heard throughout our dinner stay.
The hotel served a gourmet dinner of freshly prepared local and international dining variety.
... at removing the fan altogether, so it didn't break up in the engine compartment, it was decided to re-try the original fix.
While the boys were getting their hands dirty, Charlotte & I used the last of the light to get a few more shots. We were lucky that the 'Man in a Tie' made an appearance and was happy to pose for a photo for the bingo card! And the shop in the garage revealed some more goodies for photos, too!
Once fixed again, we needed ...
We take a last daytrip together to beautiful, fairy tale Schloss Neuschwanstein. Fiona had visited before, but it was still a lovely day out together, and probably one of the last castles we will visit...we're definitely feeling a bit castled out.

... to fit four sausages on. Heh heh. Weber. I got into a new drink today- the Radler. Effectively a shandy, a Radler is half a pint of lemonade and half a pint of beer. It is traditionally a summer drink as it is very refreshing but is also good on the day after a big night. So quite a few of us were on the Radlers today. Especially those who had been to Oktoberfest seven or eight times over the past fortnight (I don't know how they did it). As I like to leave you with a fact each ...
Munich, Germany overseas_ash... gorgeous and the views of it and from it are breathtaking.
After our tour we drove to Kempten and stayed at the Peterhof downtown. This was our first room with a tv...all German stations, of course!
