After the ice cave tour we made our way back down the mountain to our boiling hot waiting car and set coordinates to our next stop. The "Eagles Nest": also known as Hitler's summer retreat. We crossed the border back into Germany and headed to the town of Obersalzberg. We found the car parking and headed to the ticket desk. Buses are used to ferry tourists up the 6km ...

... which also is 124 meters. Once you come out of the elevator, you are essentially in the building of the Eagle's Nest, which currently functions as a Hofbräuhaus restaurant. The views from the top of the Eagle's Nest are breathtaking! It was so amazing to be on tops of the Alps, as it provides spectacular views. You can actually see Königssee from the top! After we did some exploring around the top, we decided to grab a quick bite to eat before heading back ...

The train ride from Vienna was breathtaking as we traveled through a gorgeous valley surrounded by striking mountains. Zell Am See is a beautiful town on a lake in the valley. We were so happy to see such gorgeous mountains and get out of the city even for just a day. We spent our entire time in awe of Mother ...
