... this, we caught the bus outside here down to our hotel. It is very convenient although it takes a while at each stop. We toyed with the idea of staying on the bus for the Fremont Street Experience but then decided we would get back too late. everyone else on the bus were headed there.
We left in the morning just after 10:30 and arrived back just after 9pm, walking almost 14 kms although it seemed so much further in the heat.

Driving back through Yosemite park up the Tioga Pass, America's highest road. First stop was the Sequoia Trees, over 200 years old and huge in girth. In the 1920s one of the trees was hit by lightning, so a local thought it'd be a good idea to tunnel through, making it big enough to drive a car through. Carried on up the pass ...

Out to hoover dam for a look. Very impressive and amazing build story. Took them 2 yrs to re-route the water through tunnels in the rock which was 2 yrs ahead of schedule. Once the water was routed from dam site they finished hoover dam in 2 years. On the pics you can see the white rock which is the max height the water has reached. And as for the movies where people ...
