So I've been bitten close to 50 plus times while i've been here. the most disturbing part is that they attack me while i'm trying to sleep, thus i can't get a good nights sleep. the previous tenant in my room had a mosquito repellent device which plugs into an electrical outlet. i've tried it twice so far and it seems to work great. of course, it's a bit expensive to use, but if it works well, i think i'll bring it along with me while i travel!!!

After a 13 hour flight on China Airlines, I'm in Taipei. I booked 2 nights at a hostel near Shida where I plan on studying Mandarin for a while. After taking the airport bus to the Taipei Main Station, I figure out the MRT and get to Guting station where the hostel is located. It is fairly clean and the manager gives me a quick tour. Taipei is hot and humid.
