On day 2 we went to a different area which was good for beach activities, but the beach itself wasn't nearly as nice. We did go out on a boat for a wee ride which was fun, but most people agreed we would rather have stayed at the first place and spent the time there.

    Xiema Village
The last day of shooting we visited this scholar's village called "Xiema Village" in Enping. If you don't have some kind of inside Chinese connection and you are a Western tourist, you may never visit this place. This location was mainly a backdrop ...

... weary but satisfied and desperate for a shower and food! The rather amusing hotel wasn't as lovely as the previous, with bathroom doors that did not shut and the thinnest walls I have ever experienced. Lesley and Sara were in the room below and I managed to have a full blown conversation with them through the ceiling without even having to raise my voice! Highly amusing :)
