Team building once again, and off to the beach!
A very different team from last time, and the beach was stunningly beautiful and clean - as good as any in either NZ or Oz can offer, with the added bonus of just-the-right-temp water and safe swimming conditions.
The whole event was better organised this time, and we all ate together at every meal. I made sure I sat at a table with mostly local staff, as they know how to get into some of the tricky but delicious ...
... All pools were no deeper than our waist, so we figured we would be safe as long as we remembered how to stand up. Mind you, we were so full our bellies made great flotation devices. We tried out the wave pool and a few others before stumbling upon the "fish pool". This pool had a bunch of enthusiastic little fish in it, almost like minnows. ... washroom was a simple chamber pot in the corner of a room. There was no electricity in most of the buildings. It was like we took a trip back in time but forgot where we parked the DeLorean. However this is very much today and this is how many still live. Much of the furniture were intricately decorated and time weathered, things that would fetch a handsome price on the Antiques Roadshow, had anyone here hear of it, or cared. ...
... customs so every ritual varied from village to village. They each have very particular ways of doing things. For example, they both had to pour wine on the floor but Alana had to also encircle the burning symbolic money with wine as well. And she had to pour the wine a certain amount of times in a certain order in three cups. This was not the exact thing Nathan did.

That evening we had a scrummy Chinese banquet overlooking the terraces, topped off my toffee covered bananas which was definitely the best (and one of the only) deserts yet! And then it was an early night to prepare us for the long walk tomorrow.
We rose early and set off and were thankfully blessed by a cloudy day which made the trekking far more bearable. I liked ...
