On day 2 we went to a different area which was good for beach activities, but the beach itself wasn't nearly as nice. We did go out on a boat for a wee ride which was fun, but most people agreed we would rather have stayed at the first place and spent the time there.

Alana's reasons and Nathan's reasons are also completely different from each other's as well. This project is really helping me gain perspective on how to approach my own personal work. As Al has been saying this entire trip, everything has ...

... downhill 2-trekking on an even path and 3-the rest breaks. I did NOT like the huge uphill parts which does not bode well for climbing Mount Kinabalu in a week's time - am currently trying to think of ways to get out of it! But I must admit, the views were stunning and it's pretty amazing what the villagers have managed to do with the hills around them.

We arrived at our next guesthouse after about 5 hours, all ...
