... green and I can't describe how awful I felt. In half an hours time my family were burying my Gran in Parkes and I was in Japan facing 'sakana'. Instead we went out to Sunset Beach and held a minutes silence. It was so peaceful and quiet with only one boat out on the horizon. I thought about Gran, and Scotty too, and everyone back at home hoping they were getting through the grave side funeral ok. The islands were small. One bridge, two bridge. Coffee break at a Michi no Eki - these road stations ...

We have rented bikes straight from the hotel, took a ferry across and started our cycling day around 10 am. We have met a nice Japanese tourist from Osaka on the ferry and decided to cycle together.
The Shimanami Kaido-sea road links the main islands through series of bridges and small islands. At he beginning we wanted to do the whole 70km cycle route in a day with a ferry back but after a while we have taken more leisure approach and were enjoying the views across ...

... i jeden z najznakomitszych ogrodów Japonii Kōrakuen a w nim latające karpie tradycyjny ślub i lody z zielonej herbaty.
No i przyszedł czas na Tomonoura'ę, spokojną i z lekka zapomnianą wioskę rybacką. W niektórych miejscach czas nie płynie tak samo.
Dzisiaj zatrzymaliśmy się w Onomichi a jutro tour'de Shimanami Kaido, rowerem po wyspach.
