    Five minutes walk from Peasant's Movement Institute Metro on Line One. Clean comfortable hotel, rooms cleaned daily. Central location

    ... are sweating and it doesn't relent till well after 10pm. You can see groups of locals hopping from door way to doorway down the high street as they try to get a cool blast from the air conditioners.     ... would be easy to find - well, the metro was easy to use because it was in pinyin as well as Mandarin, but once I emerged from the underground I had no idea! Wandered around for a while, down some lovely little streets with trees on either side almost forming a tunnel - I would see a lot of these here. The shops were selling very ornate things, like Buddhas, fans, and wall hangings. I didn't mind that I couldn't find the temple at that moment, it was nice just exploring ...

    So I just made it to china! The flight from Heathrow was good (as good as it gets for economy) the plane looked new and the food wasn't too bad.
