... room. We went to the night market, but that was just a bunch of people like sardines among random tables of stuff, so we haven't gone back there. There is another market that is open during the day with a bunch of booths and things that we've been to a couple times that was pretty fun.
The weekend trips to Shanghai and Beijing were the best parts of the trip by far. Walking/hiking the Great Wall was an absolutely amazing experience.
... I can only guess that most people here dry themselves with hand towels. I managed to get Will, Ian and Lee to help me buy a bed sheet and pillow in the evening, which must have been a quite a sight because it took 4 of us 15 minutes asking about bedsheets, and a lot of laughing by the poor supermarket lady and we ended up walking out with a canvas mat, and a pillow which I discovered later was stuffed with hay. The boys said they all use mats ...
... Anyway Ian and I left after the movie while Will stayed to sleep in the office cinema, which is his usual bed.
This morning I had an appointment to look at an apartment through an agent Will had organised for me. The agent rang me at 9.30 and I went to meet him. He told me to hop on the back of his little electric scooter and we rode around the district looking at apartments. It was fun actually and once you get used to it ...
... dirty yet tasty meat skewers and cold beer. I was pretty exhausted after being in a plane all day so went to bed soon after.
While in Hangzhou, I will be both studying at Chinese School, and teaching at English school. Both are at different locations in the city, but are part of the same company. I'm not exactly sure what the balance will be for me yet and the first few days will probably be spent on sorting that out.
