... really scary and I'm just so relieved that she is better. Oh, and in case you were wondering, 2 days of IV (including the antibiotic) plus the doctor’s appointment cost about 13 USD.
Despite Elise’s illness, we very much enjoyed staying in Qingtian for 9 days. That was the longest we stayed in one place for the whole trip. Add to that: our generous relatives who helped with celebrating the holiday, treated us to ...
... give a hefty fine if you have a second child. So rich people can still have more than one kid, but in general, most families only have one child.
In Qingtian, because so many people are overseas, we’ve seen a lot of families here with 2 children. My (second) cousins here have 2 children in some of their families, and when we ask them about it, they say they had the second baby ...
... know in advance. The kids loved setting those off. They also spent a little time fishing and skipping stones. We thought that was neat, that they got to spend a little time where their great grandparents probably did the same thing.

Every time I come into my classroom after lunch, the room is in shambles. I can't lock my door so it's invaded when I'm not there. They write all over what I have written on the board if they haven't erased it. Someone evidently tried to set fire to my blackboard seeing as there were two lit matches on the tray and two nice ...

There was a many following us around the park and trying to get his kid to say `hello` to us. The kid was not amused.
... portable snack shop or eatery. For those who have never been any where in Asia this simply means a three wheeled bike that has been modified into some type of 'portable eatery'. Some can be found grouped together on the same corner most days and/or nights and others travel around the place from hour to hour to find where the hungriest crowds are. Those ...
