... and one section leads into the next by funnelling most of the water down a narrow shute. This means that as you paddle down the river, you occasionally get fun little rapid bits and get splashed with rather a lot of water. The Finnish girl we met at the hostel happened to see us, and she waved to us as we went down one of the rapids. ... After the tour we walked down by the river to watch some of the rafts and boats come through the rapids and then took a look at some of the galleries in town.
We returned to the restaurant at the Eggenberg Brewery for an early dinner. We mixed sausage wrapped in bacon with horseradish and mustard, and grilled Camembert and cranberries with the Argentina-Belgium World Cup quarter final and another litre of the Eggenberg dark beer.
It was a good night.

Jana had told us that the food was excellent, the kitchen was clean, the people were very friendly and it was cheap. She was correct on all counts and we whiled away a pleasant evening there enjoying the warmth and the great food.
