... tons. The entire gun tipped the scales at 334 tons , fired one-ton shells 25 miles out into the North Sea. It took a ton of explosives to fire each shot.

Its climate is very pleasant year-round and one can visit from March to Novemebr, with highs ranging from the mid-50s to high 70s. It rains, albeit lightly, almost 200 days of the year. Today was a gorgeous fall day with temperatures around 19 degrees Celsius.
