... mountains. The water of the Soca River is bright turquoise and absolutely beautiful! The town we are in tonight, Bovec, is very small. The apartment is nothing to get excited about, but it's only 1 night and it's relatively inexpensive! We have loved every minute of our travels in Slovenia. Tomorrow we will drive through the country's only national park, which has 50 hairpin turns...something tells me that will be both exciting and ...

On Thursday, we have an early start. We have booked the Capri “Fun and Sun” boat trip which is 5 hours long and includes lunch and snorkelling. The rush of crystal blue water pools up in limestone bunkers, while some salmon take refuge in them from the currents push. I dip my toes ...

... desperate moment, we found Optimus Prime's motto, "No sacrifice is too great in the service of freedom". Sadly, Optimus was our sacrifice. Fear not, although the battle continues with our insurers, we did not want the accident to ruin our road trip plans and quickly booked flights and car hire from Ljubljana, Slovenia. We've actually ended up with a brand new car, a Smart Four Four with just 37km on the clock. We have named him ...

... breathtaking Soca River Valley - the road had 50 really tight switchbacks. Before touring Soca River Valley we stopped to see woman's face on the mountain, a Russian church, a former largest ski flying jump at Kranjaska Gora (near Italian border), and sampled blueberry "blintz". Group dinner in Kobarid. Trout, pasta, ice cream w/pumpkin seed oil. Buddy talks.
