The time in Asheville was also very helpful as we managed to get all our Christmas presents and packages organised and sent away in time for the holidays, we also caught up on the day-to-day ...

Nov 3 and 4 – our last two days in Asheville.

We looked at houses and condos yesterday. So many decisions: A dream house with large, beautiful rooms or a scaled down-condo?

There were three homes in a gated golfing community. As we entered the community, a sign on the guardhouse warned, "Please do not feed the bears." Seriously. We also saw wild turkeys crossing the road (see picture).

Today we traveled from Cadiz, KY (pronounced Kāy-Dēz in Kentuckian) Prizer Point Marina KOA to Asheville, NC. It started sprinkling as we hooked up the tow car (‘towd’ or toad in RVer terms) and got progressively worse as we traveled. We spent 3 days in the Mountains near Asheville, N.C. The R.V. resort was a small one, about 25 sites but situated high in the mountains with a great view.
A visit to the Biltmore Estate and Chimney Rock is a must when in this area. The Blue Ridge Parkway is also nearby.
