The hotel arranged a taxi pick up for my early flight out of Lisbon, 6:15. Taxi driver arrived, and when I met him...waaaaaaait...HER, at the car, I was thinking, wow, it's a woman! Awesome. They were having so much fun, it was hard to tell them that we had to go, but at 5:30pm we left for the last part of the drive which is 67.7 miles. But anyone who has ever driven on the 5 or 405 knows good and darn well that it's not likely to be a straight shot. We arrive home in 2 and 1/2 hours and I walked straight up stairs to bed.
Everyone in my house including Billy, who came over to visit, are sleeping. It's just me and our new dog Bucky who are awake. I can't sleep, I'm far too excited for the journey's to come.
