... to go big in Texas ;)

Amarillo is a smallish city of around 191,000 and surrounded by ranch lands. We ended the day by driving a little outside of town to catch the sunset.

Of note, we have seen gas as cheap as $2.37 a gallon.

Today we leave Texas unfortuanately as its only a short visit through BUT we do hit the half way point of the route, in a place called Adrian. I think the plan tonight is to stay in Santa Fe, New Mexico as if we do that then a short trip to Alberqurque the next day means we get to experience a mexican festival. Yes we are now venturing into Breaking Bad county.

Monument Valley is on the list and we might even head south from Flagstaff and get to San Diego! The temperature was rising even more as ...

... people up for the Big Texan. After some google work we too request for a limo. At 8.30 our limo comes to pick us up, bull horns at the front and all. We chat to a couple for Scotland travelling through the US. The driver tells us there is a tornado heading our way so we are the last pick up but not to worry as they will drive us home.

We get to the Big Texan and we take some time taking some happy snaps outside. I laugh at one of the signs that is welcoming Contiki ...
