With a population of nearly 200,000, Amarillo is the 14th most populous city in Texas and this was my first glimpse of one of America's most famous states.

We arrived to the motel in the late afternoon in overcast conditions, but that didn't stop some of us from jumping into the pool!

The public are encouraged to bring their own spray paint and put their mark on the cars. The cars are regularly re-painted to provide a clean canvas.
