... and was going out for tools to take the lover vent plate off, opened the bathroom door for a towel, and found the spigot open in the sink and the stopper in the sink. ... a big old shift and driving all the way to austin. 500 miles!! Drove through endless wide open Texan plains with nodding donkey oil pumps and contrastingly thousands and thousands of ginormous wind turbines! For about an hour we just drove through fields of them. Driving through the little Texan towns was interesting. Some looked so dead and remote but others quaint with classic wooden Victorian houses made of wood. Saw vultures eating road kill and circling up high. ...

... campground. It has a nice gift shop/store (according to the brochure) but we arrived too late to check out so we'll visit them in the morning prior to getting back on the road. Just over 800 miles to home. We'll make another overnight stop somewhere in Texas - preferably on the east side of Dallas. That breaks up our driving time to around 6-1/2 hours a day.
