... Inn and Suites in Christiansburg, VA. They upgraded us to a suite. Went to "Due South Pit Cooked BBQ". Clara and I had Short Ribs. David had combo ribs and pulled pork. All thought it was ok but not the best we have had. Stopped for gas $22.01. Then back to the room to ring in the new year. Alberta & Bill called to wish us a happy new year. ... photos of the animals and it was great because they all seemed to be active and moving or at least sitting where you could see them. Sometimes when you go to the zoo the animals are hard to see, so I got lucky today being able to spot almost everything.

In total the British would suffer 73 deaths, 174 wounded and 26 missing. Colonial losses would be 49 dead, 40 wounded and 5 missing. And, so with the 'shot heard round the world', the British came to realize that the colonials were indeed prepared to fight for their rights!
