... pictures! It is all so fascinating and varied. On the way, we passed by the Sand Creek Massacre site, which because of time constraints we were unable to stop at, but the history is shocking and grievous: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sand_Creek _massacre

After a glorious drive, we finally arrived very late at our Rock Springs KOA campsite and settled down for a good night's sleep.

... We drove to 10,847' (with peaks rising another 2000' higher) over the Snowy Range Bypass where the aspen were glorious in gold and peachy gold autumn colors.

Although my goal is to travel without deadlines, I needed to make tracks across Nebraska and Wyoming to have dinner with my brother Richard. It was so cool that I didn't use air conditioning until halfway across WY. The wind, on the other hand, was a force to be dealt with. We had a little bit of a rocky, or more accurately asphalty, start today.
