The rest of the day is spent chewing up the miles - not a bad day actually with a few stops. Very hot though and we eventually got to the Days Inn hotel at Perry about 7pm.
A lovely shower with a chance to also wash some smelly clothes left us somewhat refreshed. Straight down into the local Mexican restaurant where the food was good but the beer ever better.
To bed at 10pm to catch an early start tomorrow!

We left Slidell, Louisiana around 9:30 am on the 10th as we are on our way to Florida. The roads in LA (on our way to Fla) were terrible - felt like we were back on CT roads (hahaha). Even saw wild boar along the roadway......they are huge.
