... supplies in St Mary. However, the fun part was beginning when we started up the Going-to-the-Sun-Road which was built in 1932 and was set to close for the season the next day (in fact, due to snow the next day, we were one of the last to complete the run this year). The road offers great views to those that are unafraid of heights and the summit is at Logan Pass the continental divide at 2,025 metres (6,646 feet).

Kalispell is actually starting to feel like home away from home! The mechanic ran into delays, truck won't be ready till Wednesday, so we are catching up with laundry, grocery shopping, haircuts, and resting. Wondering what we'll find when we open up the trailer after this long week. Need to get re-organized before we head west again.
... us a loaner, we will leave the camper at the dealership for the week and we will head towards Canada in this red Corolla. Drive through Banff and Jasper? Try to find V's distant cousin that we've been wanting to meet for over 25 years? Looking on the map, they live waaayy up north in British Columbia. What the heck! Maybe we'll just go for it!

Something that has caught my eye in these parts are the small, free-standing espresso shops, little cabins that offer great coffee at a drive-through window. They're everywhere and very uniquely decorated. Haven't seen them elsewhere, yet.
Hidden in the trees after miles of gravel roads, we come upon this beautiful ...
Short stop at Belgrade, on the road, then up to this beautiful lake. The Flathead River's various forks crossed our paths several times while in Montana. Boating/resort towns all along the lake front, quiet beaches, tall forests of pine and birch. Very relaxing!

We knew there had been a fire since it was evident but did not realize it was over 100,000 acres and was back in 2003. However, that was only 10% of the park since it is over 1 million acres. The Cedar and ever green ...

As we packed up to leave the Fairmont RV Park, the temperature felt more like 80⁰ than the 73⁰ registered on the thermometer. The night low had only reached the upper 40’s and the early morning sun under clear skies was bright and strong. Most days we have been fortunate to travel without running the AC, but we were on the road ...

Kalispell, Montana, United States chere... to. Patience, that is what I hear. And Mom enthusiastic, praising every child. Dad helps with the line, the bait. "Look kids," he says, and I look too. An eagle, just above my head, and close. "He's young," the dad explains, "probably just born this spring." Andrew chunks another rock, watches as the waves spread out, heading clear across the lake. Lucky children here. Lucky all of us.
