The drive today was just 7 hours and 20 minutes long, and it was uneventful.
The scenery in northern Utah, Idaho and Oregon was fine, but not spectacular - it was really just a driving day and while it was 5 hours shorter than yesterday, it felt quite long. There were some minor twisty bits of road (some of which were in the rain) which were fun and borderline heart-in-mouth for the rainy ...
A lot of driving today, about 8 hours, but we've crossed 2 states and one time zone and are now in central Idaho. After the boat trip, 2 hours drive to Baker City, OR motel, arriving just before dark and getting cool. Beautiful drive. Nice room, great food and Pinot Noir. The sun was shining so off for more adventures tomorrow.
