Great big room and bathroom. Little balcony overlooking the street. Simple breakfast brought to your door (wow, i don't even have to look presentable for this!) as their breakfast room was being renovated.
Great for a budget traveller. i wish all my hotel rooms were like that!

Today with the seat rotation Craig and I had the second front seat but the front seat was also empty so we had one each and I had a birdseye view and was able to appreciate how good Davor’s driving was as frequently cars would come hurtling towards us on what was basically a single track road and hardly even slow down and not give ...

I woke up this morning and it was actually still early enough to get breakfast! Darren had already been up a while and had some fried eggs, so I got up and got some French Toast with a type of feta or goats feta or something. It was tasty! We wifi'd for a while and when we were both ready we walked down to the film festival. Again! There were some short films that had just started, so we snuck in at the credits of one film and watched ...

Tirana, the capital, is a bit boring in its looks and touristic appeals, although it sits surrounded by mountains. I went to the National Museum, which (from what I could figure out) told a story of "everyone has been here, but we have kept our unique culture, language, heritage and identity." The food is ...

... for customers and get them as well. There was a local patron in the gym who didn't appreciate that she took a long time running. (she runs about 2 hours) Heavy sighs.

After she was done in the gym we wanted to go to the National Museum which was on the square right across the street from us. We started over there and walked up to the door around 10 and it was closed. Bummer. My husbandl had come out without ...

... my bearings after stepping off of the bus in Tirana. A young man asked me if I needed a hostel to stay in tonight. Instead of replying firmly, in order to stop him from trying to take me to his hostel, I declined politely instead.

He was surprised, I think, by this kindness, because he smiled and asked me if he could help me find wherever it was that I needed to go. I showed him my iPod map, and asked if he could show me where we were, and which direction is north. ...
