Great big room and bathroom. Little balcony overlooking the street. Simple breakfast brought to your door (wow, i don't even have to look presentable for this!) as their breakfast room was being renovated.
Great for a budget traveller. i wish all my hotel rooms were like that!

For hundreds of years autonomous social rule in the countryside was codified in a shadow state of folk justice known as the Kanun. All aspects of social and economic behavior are spelled out in minute detail. Special counsels are called to interpret them. The most famous provisions regulate violence. ... this massive pyramid building, which was all run down, with smashed windows and graffiti everywhere. It looked awesome! Apparently it used to be a sort of communism museum and now its abandoned. Some people were climbing up the outside of the pyramid which looked fun. We probably would have gave it a go if I wasn't feeling ****! We continued on our way down to the park but stopped again at a little cafe for a cup of tea, where we learned how to say thank you in ...

When T went for a shower, the tap came away from the wall and water spewed out. Also, Albania is the setting from the movie 'Taken'!! Was a good night's sleep. Our tour guide made sure we knew that every Albanian's dream was to save enough money to buy a car... and then to waste their time sitting around drinking coffee. A very upbeat chap! ...

Still, we ...

... I dropped Sabine off, we made plans to eat lunch together at one o’clock. I spent the morning walking around the same places that I saw last night. I found an overpriced but cute Christmas market. I saw a pyramid structure and learned that G.W. Bush made a speech outside of this building in 2007. I wandered through some side streets, and went through a gypsy market where I saw honey, herbs, flowers, fresh produce, live turkeys, and cow carcasses for sale.
