Was taking photos on the streets near the Christmas Markets when I was approached by another photographer, asking me whether I am using the X-E1. We chatted for sometime and turns out he's a pro with a history of M6s and was carrying 2 XPro1s with different lenses. He gave me some tips on where best to shoot the night markets. It's snowing!!
As in snow flakes are landing on my head and face type snowing.

This is sooo cool!!!!
Once i realised whats happening I started chasing around hoping to catch the flakes.
After a way turning around in circles it dawned on me how stupid I must be looking.
So i moved into a park to catch snow flakes.

Unfortunately, it's easy because it's very light, very much like trying to catch a flower petal.

... chat with the cleaner, Craig. Turns out the guy was walking down the street and got hit by a drunk truck driver.
Sigh.

Anyway, I told Craig I am from Sydney looking forward to seeing the snow and it turns out he worked in a Wooloomoolloo hostel for months! So now we are going to a pub crawl on Thurs night.

... what I do find is in German. Through rough translating I know that it was once owned by six people. It was robbed and burned. At one point it was owned by the Count of Diez in the 1500's (yes, the same Diez where my family is from). It eventually fell into disrepair and is now in ruin, however, there is still a beer garden in the castle.

We were practically the only people at the castle, so the boys had a great time running around this ...

... t know what baking soda and powder are called in German yet....) It was the first night that I was by myself with the kids at bedtime, and overall things went pretty well.

Something I learned today: Even with us still speaking mostly different languages, we're beginning to understand each other.
