We Have Arrived in Berlin - At Last!!!
... the tour, in the evening, Claire and I whent and visited the massive Masters Art exhibition in the new National Art Gallery. We spent a couple of hours there.
Unfortunately my head cold is still hanging on strongly. Hopefully it will lift in the next day or so!!
Well that is Berlin, at least for us at the moment. No doubt we could spend a couple of weeks here to see the many sites. We are travelling to Stockholm in Denmark ...

It was a good day and made up for the setbacks so far, especially when I checked and realized we would have had to pay $400 for new tickets for the train if we had missed that connection and lost the $100 tickets I had purchased. Train is definitely the way to go, got to see some lovely countryside and architecture and met some nice people.

Blitzkrieg! ..Tourist style
... History IB class finally had some use! Our tour guide gave us a rundown of WWI, WWII, and the Cold War on the bus there. I'm glad I had the chance to learn about it in depth in class, it really came in handy once you see the monuments and places right in front of you.
We didn't see the place of the Potsdam Conference unfortunately because we didn't know until it was too late to go... It's called the Cicilienhof Palace - I'll definitely have to go back there someday!
