Historical Traveler Reviews BEST WESTERN Premier IB Hotel Friedberger Warte Frankfurt

    Looks fab

    from

we stayed at the Hotel Friedberger Warte for 6 nights and as we booked it via the internet we were a bit worried, but we were very very pleasently surprised , it was lovely , the room was very clean, modern, room service came every day and left it spotless, the breakfast was excellent, great choice, the hotel is about 10 minutes outside of the city , but a bus stop is just across the road and the bus takes you straight to a main underground/train station which connects to lots of places including the airport,

I would recommend this hotel to anyone .

be careful of booking a cheaper hotel in the city as some are in the red light district and there were people outside the hotels who were obviously under the influence of drugs and women were plying their trade!! outside some of the hotels which we nearly booked on the intenet.

    Great value and service

    from

stayed here for 3 nights in a double room with my wife, excellent price on easyhotels.com - staff friendly and helpful, upgraded to a bigger room for 10 euro per night, payable at reception - enjoyed the walk into frankfurt which took about 30 mins - used the bus also which was very convenient - the breakfast was super the hotel was spotless and had a nice modern feel - the restaurant was a good standard, would come back anytime

    Wow great hotel!

    from

my husband and I stayed at the Friedberger Warte in October of this year. It was a great hotel. Exceptionally clean and very modern. The staff at the desk was very helpful. We ate at the hotel in "Alexander" and the food was terrific, and the staff in the restaurant were great. The hotel is a bit out of the centre, but the bus takes you there in about 15 minutes, and the bus stop is literally across the street. We really enjoyed this hotel and the staff, who were all so personable. I would definitely stay here again.

    Very nice hotel

    from

we'vw stayed for 7 nights to this hotel and it was a pleasent stay. we were a bit concerned that it will be too far from centre but it wasn't. the bus 30 it stops just across the hotel and from there in 5min you are at the stop Zeil [the shopping area]. the stuff was nice, towells changed daily, breakfast very good, in the night was very quiet even that the hotel was almost full.

Great Hotel just outside Ziel shopping area

    from

We stayed for two nights at the Friedberger Warte Hotel in Frankfurt lat May 2006 and were extremely happy. Very clean, pleasant decor - quite location a short bus ride from the main shopping area of Ziel. Price through Hotelclub was great. Would stay here again.

    Nice Hotel

    from

I thought this hotel was great. We were worried about the location but it was perfect - only a 15 min. bus ride into the center of town. The hotel was really nice and modern. The service was great.

    Great little hotel!

    from

We stayed at this hotel for one night after flying to Frankfurt. The rooms were clean, bright, fresh, and comfortable. The hotel looks like it is pretty new. They had free parking in the back of the hotel, but only had a limited number of spaces. Our room was a good size, and had central air conditioning. The windows also opened. The bathroom was clean and spacious. There was a full sized bathtub, and the walls were covered in floor to ceiling white tile, which made the bathroom look really modern. The hotel is located near a north of the city center. We walked down to the Main River and city center, but I think it was about 2-3 miles, one direction. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet. There was plenty to choose from. I really liked this hotel, and feel like we got a good deal for the price.

    Magic hotel

    from

As a travel agent I have stayed in many hotels, but this one is by far the best in terms of service that my family and I have had the pleasure of staying in. Upon arrival, we were greated by 5 staff who were falling over each other trying to help, and this was the tone of the stay - nothing was too much trouble for the staff.

The food and drink were also terrific.

A wonderfull hotel and highly recommended.

    Great Hotel

    from

We stayed at the Friedberger Hotel for 4 nights. The hotel was very new (opened Aug 05) Modern, Clean, staff very helpful and easy transport to the city centre. We had to attend Messe Fair & getting there was very easy. Catching Bus #30 right out the front, enabled you to be right in the city centre within 10 mins. Buses left every 10 mins and went until Midnight. The Breakfast was very extensive and dinning at night was also good. The Friedberger Warte Castle across the road is also good for a typical German meal. With the room rate being reasonable.. Compared to some of the more over priced hotels closer to the city centre that don't even offer the same standards. Save your self some money and stay here and just catch the bus or taxi it to the city.. its only 4kms away.. or walk.. ? you will not be disappointed. Cheers.. Marguerite

Long day of travelling today. Set off around 10. Travelled thru Belgium & the Netherlands before arriving in Germany. Only 3 stops required ('mum I need a wee, dad I need a poo, We're HUNGRY!!'). Went out for tea at the campsite across the roads' restaurant and got soaked in a thunder storm. Looking forward to a busy day at Playmobile land tomorrow. Fingers crossed for better weather ☀ ...

... car so we could find a park.

We walked into town from the Westend, past the large Deutsche Bank skyscrapers. Frankfurt is Germany's New York because it has so many skyscrapers, but that is the only comparison you can draw! Perhaps also because it has a Börse (Stock Exchange) and is a finance centre. It is home to many different corporations including the European Central Bank and the Detusche Bundesbank. The city has more banks than the Nile River!

I am now in Holland for a short time to see some friends after first collecting my motorcycle which again has been excellently prepared by my friend Rob.
Now..... which direction...North, East, South or West? The best thing is not to plan too much and let the weather forecast be one of the deciding factors.

... was an amazing and truly challenging adventure. Being able to see some new places in Europe was a real pleasure for Connie and I. And finally, being able to get together with our German family again after so long at a time that Die Mannschaft became Weltmeister for the fourth time was the cherry on top. Despite a few challenges, everything worked out pretty well.

    ... neighborhoods.

In the Old Town are several plazas, churches and the 600-year-old Romer, Frankfurt's city hall. All reconstructed. We split a brauwurst and grilled onion sandwich delivered to a walkup crowd. A brief shower slowed us down only for a few minutes. We were only approached by two panhandlers while in the area. They must have been out on strike.
