Had a lazy morning and headed to Caz and Robs 320 kms away. The trip was easily the most Scenic trip. The iPhone thought it would be fun to take us over the top of the mountain on pass called The Spluggen Pass. The roads were narrow, twisty and steep. To top it off we discovered a low tunnel that said 2.2 m half way up a steep road!!! Help!!! We had to get out and generally panic!! Luckily ...

Step One: Make it to Konstanz!

A travel blog entry by lyssablair on Sep 02, 2015

... many barriers for me on this trip and I knew they would come out at the last minute, which they did. BUT I'll be honest I am very proud of myself for making it all the way to Konstanz ON MY OWN! It was no walk in the park by any means!! My flight from RDU to Newark was no problem. Wanted to stop but, the only car park was full, the one street already had four motorbikes parked outside the only pub, and the McDonalds seat was taken, and the local hooker had already pulled the mayor!
Obviously all thats a joke, but I did get through it quite quickly, and wanted to find somewhere to stay.

Still raining today but looking to slack off in the afternoon, we spent the morning keeping dry until we could take it no longer. So we took our bikes and headed out for a short 32 km ride to check out a nature reserve that is situated on a peninsular that juts out into the lake.

At the point of the peninsular we came to the town of Reichenau which is an agricultural town producing mainly fruit and vegetables. Very nice spot I must ...

    Relaxation with rain

We awoke to rain. Just as well or perhaps we would have had to spend the day cycling another 80 odd kays. We took the opportunity to do a bit of office work before setting out on foot, armed with umbrellas, to check out the old town of Kreutzlingen. It is certainly old with some of ...
