Dag 34 Midpines - Fresno
... terugtocht naar de auto is een stuk makkelijker. Ook nu is de auto weer heel en niet aangevreten door de beren. Tunnel Log is niet meer dan een boom die over de weg gevallen is, waaruit ze een tunnel hebben gehakt en daar kan je met de auto onderdoor. Wel grappig.
Nu volgt de rit naar het einde van het park. Voor we het weten staan we stil in een file. Het blijken wederom weg werkzaamheden te zijn. We staan even stil en ik pak de laptop uit de auto om wat opgeslagen websites ...
Day 26: cheers
We slept. We drove. We ate. We watched tv. Basically we did nothing you could be interested in, but days like this just gotta be enjoyed sometimes... And when a room is only slightly dirty, but even has a sofa, that is reason enough to open our bottle of Paradise Ridge Zinfandel of the Hoenselaars Vineyard in the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County. ... a week. What a 6 months. No, what a ******* year. Europe, Mexico, and the US have owned me these past 12 months and this is just the beginning.
I have felt more and more everyday, that the timing to leave mexico was perfect. Though the whole thing now feels like something of a dream, I feel really right about this decision. I fear I am well on my way to forgetting all the spanish I learned. I'll do something about that.
