... Castello, a cute town not too far away. It was a fabulous celebration not only of truffles, but of locale fruits, legumes, porcini mushrooms and all sorts of fun-guys!!

CDC also had a fabulous castle (Rocca) full of medieval suits of armour and the usual gorgeous via's and piazza's

... high up in the Apennines Mountains. I went on the perfect sunny fall day. San Marino is noted as a medieval city and its three huge watch towers on the edge of the mountain. We went to the chestnut festival in Caprese Michelangelo .

We did more -- took walks, spent a day in Pienza, visited the Vestri Chocolate Factory (double yummy!).

But the pictures are still uploading to my computer so these will have to wait.

I'm off to take a last walk to the cemetery and back -- an easy 3.50 mile trek. Then time to pack my suitcase.

You are never doing nothing are you? I just went to write 'during the day today we did nothing' but it really isn’t true. We were always doing something, just nothing of any interest.

So I will write ‘during the day today we did something all day but that something isn’t worth ...
