Great hotel. It is brand new and everything is nice and clean. Staff very friendly, great location and great breakfast next door. Only negative the lack of a window.

    KL!

Can't ask for much more than blue skies and 30 degree temperatures. Well other than refreshing beer, great city views and a mixture of different cultures, all of which we got in Kuala Lumpur.

So we arrived in KL Thursday, to 30 degree temperatures and blue sky. Being the intelligent, sensible people we are, we decided to …

... get to their flights on time. We got away a little late and the plane was full. We settled in for the 8 1/2 hour flight which travelled over Central Australia, Bali and Singapore before arriving in hazy Malaysia. When we arrived we made our way through the massive airport, had our fingerprints scanned, picked up our luggage ...

I think this is the best compromise tour – you are escorted into town, told what time you need to be back and then are let loose to see what ever it is you want to see. Unfortunately we weren’t able to get tickets to go up the Petronas Towers as when we arrived in KL the earliest time we could have gone up was 3:00 and our bus back to Port Kelang left at 3:45. ... Div. Spent some time in the KLCC park beneath the towers. Nice but too humid then another great storm rolled in that lasted hours. Fun Saturday night spent in a rowdy bar. The city was busy due to the Malaysian Grand Prix. Met some Aussies who bought me wine and after some certain things were said it made me realise I'm in a good place, I'm fixed and have certainly moved on from the past and living in the ...

So, having spent my 3 months at CCD Thailand, it was time for my real adventures to begin. My final destination was Auckland, New Zealand, but along the way I decided to stop off in Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. I spent 2 nights in KL and one in Singapore and I'm very glad I didn't stay any longer than that. Having left Sirin House before even the Monks had visited (ie stupidly early) I was exhausted by the time I reached Kuala Lumpur around lunch time, and therefore not in the mood for ...
